The Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited (NCCU), recognizing the importance of its corporate social programme in enhancing the development of our nation's youth, has once again sponsored the Nevis Library Services (NLS) Annual Summer Environmental Awareness Programme for children ages 7 - 16 years. The three (3) weeks Programme which is in its 19th year will be co-ordinated under the theme: "Our Country, Our People, Our Future" and will run from July 7 - 25, 2008; and focus on the Federation's 25th Anniversary of Independence.
At a brief ceremony held on Wednesday June 25, 2008 in the Arthur Evelyn's Board Room at the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union, Mr. Ken Williams, Loan Officer and designated spokesperson reiterated the importance of the NCCU's involvement in this programme, by stating that the NCCU understood the power of education in the social upliftment of our youth in today's society. Mr. Williams also said that the NCCU is proud to be associated with this activity and wish the Public Library much success in its undertaking.

Loans Administrative Assistant, Ms. Collette Hanley presented the sponsorship cheque on behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the NCCU to the Programme Co-ordinator, Mrs. Evette Liburd.
On receiving the cheque, Mrs. Liburd said that the Nevis Public Library is grateful for the NCCU's continued support and contribution towards the programme since its inception, some nineteen (19) years ago.
