NCCU Job Vacancy: Credit Administration Assistant

JOB TITLE    :           CREDIT ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

JOB STATUS :           FULL TIME

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Credit Administration Assistant at the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare loan files, enter data into the core banking system, and ensure timely routing for approval.
  • Prepare loan agreements, disbursement forms, and related documents in accordance with approval terms.
  • Maintain proper filing and recordkeeping systems for all loan files, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with Credit Officers, Delinquency Officers, and other departments to ensure smooth loan processing.
  • Prepare disbursement schedules and ensure funds are released accurately and promptly.
  • Track post-disbursement requirements, such as security documentation, insurance coverage, and guarantor confirmations.
  • Ensure all approved loans are backed by proper collateral and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of securities, including registration, storage, and periodic review.
  • Assist in verifying and releasing securities upon loan settlement, ensuring all obligations are fulfilled.
  • Report any irregularities or missing documentation to management, immediately.
  • Generate delinquency and arrears reports to assist with collection efforts.
  • Liaise with the Delinquency Officer to update loan statuses and repayment arrangements.
  • Ensure all loan activities comply with NCCU’s policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare periodic reports on loan applications, disbursements, and portfolio performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in credit administration, lending, or collections within a financial institution.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and core banking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
