The SKNNCL Continues Its Concern for Community

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis — March 7, 2024

The St. Kitts and Nevis Cooperative League (SKNNCL) reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the community by actively embodying one of the Seven Cooperative Principles: Concern for Community. In a remarkable display of solidarity, the SKNNCL orchestrated two impressive handing-over ceremonies on Wednesday 6th March, one in St. Kitts and the other in Nevis, underscoring its dedication to uplifting the lives of its fellow citizens.

Mr. Peter Jenkins, President of the SKNNCL, eloquently expressed that the donated items symbolize more than mere material goods—they represent the collective strength and unity of the cooperative movement. As the apex body of cooperatives in St. Kitts and Nevis, the SKNNCL stands as a beacon of hope, fostering collaboration among its members.

The four credit unions within the federation—St Kitts Cooperative Credit Union, Nevis Cooperative Credit Union, Police Cooperative Credit Union and First Federal Cooperative Credit Union—are integral components of this cooperative alliance. Together, they form a formidable force committed to social progress, financial stability, economic empowerment, and community well-being.

The SKNNCL’s legacy of compassion and community-centric initiatives continues to shape a brighter future for all. As we move forward, let us celebrate the spirit of cooperation and extend a heartfelt thank you to the SKNNCL and its affiliates for their tireless efforts in building a stronger, more resilient community.
